Over that time we've built a diversified network of seasoned HR executives and emerging talent that can drive their organizations through growth and transformation.
We're passionate about the talent space in all its forms: branding, recruiting, human resources, inclusion, and people ops. We leverage our experience, network, and work across a broad range of industries to help forward-leaning companies build competitive advantages in talent.

Lars is also the Co-Founder of HR Open Source (HROS.co), a global initiative to accelerate innovation and education in HR.

What makes amplify different?
Amplify is a boutique search firm. Your organization will work directly with the principal, which eliminates the communication gaps that can arise with hand-offs and search teams from larger firms.
We know HR. We have been immersed in the talent space for years and have built high-performing HR teams at leading companies from the inside and as an external partner. We know what it takes to build transformative HR teams, and have established relationships with seasoned HR leaders who can impact your business.
We've built a career in this field with a simple guiding premise - add value. We've shared our perspectives on the future of work in regular columns for Fast Company and Forbes, keynotes from Johannesburg to Stockholm, and a co-authored a book on employer brand. We also co-founded the HR Open Source (HROS.co) initiative - a global collaborative community of practitioners that drives innovation, collaboration, and community in HR.
Over the past 20 years we've worked across a broad range of industries to develop progressive recruiting and branding functions. There are few talent initiatives we haven't seen firsthand. Our diverse industry experience allows us to bring a broad solution set to talent initiatives.
Long Tail Consulting
Companies bring in a strategy consultant to help them solve specific challenges. In most engagements, when the work is delivered the engagement (and relationship) ends. We don't view consulting engagements as transactions. We view them as partnerships, and our connection doesn't end when the contract does. All of our engagements have a "success tail" built into them so we can ensure successful execution after the engagement ends.
Lars has presented at events from San Francisco to Stockholm to Johannesburg on topics ranging from recruiting innovation, employer brand, and entrepreneurship. As a professional speaker, he explores the intersection of recruiting, talent branding, culture, social/digital engagement, and technology. He’s available for keynotes, presentation, panels, event hosting/MC roles, and training sessions.
Past speaking engagements include:
LinkedIn Talent Connect - Life Is Beautiful Festival - Society of Human Resource Management - RecFest - HREvolution - HR Tech World - Glassdoor Employer Brand Summit - HR Tech Fest - Employer Branding Conference - ERE Recruiting Conference - TalentNet Interactive - The Future Talent Summit - #tru - SXSWi - In-House Recruitment Expo - Human Capital Institute - Social Media Week - Recruiting Innovation Summit - Recruiting Trends Conference

"Is Lars one of the industry’s foremost thought leaders when it comes to employer branding, candidate experience, and innovative recruiting practices? Yes. But he’s also an engaging speaker, a fantastic event MC and marketer. I was lucky enough to have Lars serve as the Master of Ceremonies of our inaugural Employer Branding Summit at Glassdoor that had 100 attendees in the room but over 5,000 watching the live stream globally. He effortlessly switched between gears, from delivering a dynamic keynote presentation to engaging other speakers in Q&A following their presentations and answering questions from the audience on the fly. Always ready with thoughtful insights but witty enough to keep people laughing even 6 hours in, I can’t imagine a better MC for a recruiting or employer branding event than Lars."
- Alison Hadden, Glassdoor Director of Brand Strategy
"Lars graciously accepted my invitation to speak on a panel during Social Media Week on how to leverage social media to find a job. The event was a smashing success in no small part thanks to his subject matter expertise and ability to both entertain and enlighten the crowd at the same time. He is a genuine pleasure to work with, a fantastic communicator, and an all-around great guy."
Kathryn Minshew, The Muse Founder & CEO
Working with Lars was a pleasure. He immediately added an extra level of credibility to RecFest, which was reflected in the spike in ticket sales when we announced his involvement. He took time to really understand the vibe and the culture of the event. On the day of RecFest Lars killed it. He hit the right mark, made everyone feel relaxed, and set the tone for the day within the first 30 seconds. Lars also gave the opening talk and was the joint most popular speaker of the day.
