Previewing a New Season of Redefining HR and New Initiatives
Welcome to a new season of the Redefining HR podcast! I can’t believe we are talking about season eight of the podcast, When I launched this podcast as a pilot over two-and-a-half years ago, I wasn’t sure how it would scale or grow. If I’m honest, I wasn’t sure if it would grow.
And now here we are, over 130 episodes later, having spoken to many inspiring HR experts and working experts and ready to share even more stories. Many exciting things are happening in the Amplify world, but first, I want to thank all of you, — the listeners, viewers, guests and more — for being instrumental in helping to shape the podcast and supporting us through this journey.

Coming This Season
I’m thrilled about season eight. This season, we have incredible leaders from innovative organizations, including NASA, Electronic Arts, Carta and Envoy. From chief people officers and heads of diversity to authors and CEOs, this season is filled with intriguing conversations.
To kick things off, my first guest will be Liz Fosslien. Liz is the head of communications and content at Humu, a company using science and machine learning to make work better. Liz is the co-author of the Wall Street Journal bestseller “No Hard Feelings” and “Big Feelings: How to Be Okay When Things Are Not Okay.”
You’ve probably seen her illustrations with her writing partner, Mollie West Duffy. I’m excited to share my conversation with Liz about her creative process, how the books came together and the illustrations. I can’t wait for you to tune in to this episode.
The New Amplify Academy and HR Leadership Bytes
This season is the start of some exciting things in the Amplify world. Season eight marks a shift in the podcast. The podcast will now be connected to the new Amplify Academy launched last week.
The Amplify Academy is a new platform built to support people operators, HR operators and leaders who are navigating this new world of work. Built for the times we are in today, the academy’s foundation is the Amplify Learning Lab that utilizes the Sana Labs tool. Sana Labs uses machine learning and artificial intelligence technology that has helped me build a platform and experience without the dread of decision fatigue.
The Academy has over 350 resources available for professionals, with more resources added each month. But how does this all tie into the podcast? By allowing me to take the information that I’ve gathered from the incredible conversations I’ve had and package them into a smaller, searchable format for all listeners and viewers called HR Leadership Bytes.
These will be two- to three-minute clips from the podcast about specific topics. By using this format, we’ll bring the wisdom of these experts to a shorter, searchable format within the Amplify Academy.
A More Interactive Experience
HR Leadership Bytes and more incredible guests aren’t the only things coming this season. The feedback and the collaboration from you, the listeners, have been instrumental in shaping and forming the podcast. And I’m ready to take those elements a step further in season eight.
One of my main focuses this season is bringing listeners into these conversations. I want to know more about what you want to hear and what you would ask the guests.
Following and connect with me on LinkedIn. That will likely be the central hub where I can share your questions and interact with other people who are interested in learning more about HR and work today.
